With the help of the LEGO: Ideas website, fans are finally able to choose what Lego sets they want to see released. With Ghostbusters, Minecraft and Back To The Future being the biggest releases in terms of licensed properties, Lego fanatics are now setting their sights on Mel Brooks’ beloved 1987 Sci-Fi parody Spaceballs!

Submitted by user “NvdK”, The set’s main piece is a replica of Lone Starr’s spaceship/Winnebago “Eagle 5” as well as mini-figure renditions of the film’s protagonists, Lone Starr, Barf and the film’s villain Dark Helmet.

Despite the movie promising us Spaceballs-themed flamethrowers and cereal, to my knowledge, Spaceballs has never had any sort of merchandising. It’s been 28 years since the film was released, it’s time we get some official merchandise and what better way to kickstart the merch-machine than officially licensed Lego sets? Who knows, if this works that flamethrower might not be so far out of reach?

If this turns out to be a success, I wanna see mini-figures of Pizza The Hutt and his sidekick Vinny.
